A Message From The Author (IMPORTANT - Please Read!)

Posted at November 25, 2006 by Greg Perkins

To all readers of this blog -

You should be aware that I am currently enrolled in college and am taking classes that will grant me certification as a National Registered Emergency Medical Technician (Paramedic), the highest level of certification granted to a (ground-based) Pre-Hospital Healthcare Provider.  Due to the time and effort that I must put forth in order to obtain this certification, blog posts (beyond the automated NWS forecast posts) will be purely at my convenience.  This has become apparent to my few treasured regular readers over the past few weeks, without any prior notification.

I will attempt to post as regularly as my schedule permits.  I offer my greatest apologies and deepest regrets that any blog posts (beyond automated NWS forecasts) will only occur whenever I can squeeze a post into my schedule.  I truly wish that I could guarantee a regular period between posts, but I simply cannot at this point.  I cannot say that I will post at a daily interval, or that my posts will occur in any other pattern.  As far as excuses go, I am spending so much of my time at either one of the two hospitals that I “work” at that I can provide regular updates and/or a constant stream of content.  I will graduate from (this) college sometime around mid-June, and blog content should increase at that point and attain some measure of regularity.

I’m still debating whether I will be taking a vacation once I finish my current college program.  If I do, I will be storm chasing (for the first time) in the northern Plains.  If I do go ahead with this trip, I’ll provide (hopefully) daily updates from the road, documenting my first every chasing experience.

Either way, I will try my best to provide the most amount of content that I can.  No promises - there is no telling what my schedule may permit.

No matter what scenario takes shape, I will be back to providing regular content around mid-June of 2007.  Until then, I extend my condolences that there will not be much entertaining content on this blog.  To those who are not regular readers, check back in the spring of 2007 (next spring)!  Even if I do not hit the road for my first chase season, I will try my best to at least outline the best chase areas.

Until next season, your humble and grateful author,

     Greg
